Discuss Your Project
Build confidence before you fly alone
Modern drones are approachable, but a new pilot still needs to understand setup, surroundings, weather, airspace, return-to-home settings, battery planning, and what to do when a flight does not go as expected.
A private session lets you ask questions, practice at your own pace, and learn the controls on the drone you will actually use.
What the session covers
The two-hour session costs $300 and includes safe-operation guidance, basic legal considerations, hands-on flight instruction, and an introduction to aerial photography. The exact lesson is adjusted to your equipment and experience.
Training is designed for recreational beginners. It is not a substitute for the FAA Part 107 knowledge test or a formal commercial-pilot certification course.
Training locations in Central Ohio
Beginner drone instruction is available in the Columbus area when a suitable and legal practice location can be arranged. Weather, airspace, landowner permission, and the capabilities of your aircraft are reviewed before the session.
Common Questions
What to know before you book
Do I need to bring my own drone?
Yes. Training is designed around your own drone so you learn the controls, settings, and features you will use after the session.
Is this a Part 107 certification course?
No. The session covers beginner flight skills and general safety and legal guidance; it is not a formal FAA Part 107 test-preparation course.
What if I have never flown before?
That is exactly who the session is for. Instruction starts with setup and essential safety checks before moving into guided flight practice.
